People joke about the Russian winter, seemingly thinking that they're the first person to ever joke about the Russian winter lol Anyways, the Russian winter did not beat the Swedish army. I hope that Extra Credits have read the excellent book "The Battle that shook Europe – Poltava and the birth of the Russian Empire" by Peter Englund. It is probably the most detailed account of the battle available and by reading it, it's pretty clear that Creutz's failed cavalry charged, coupled with Rehnskiöld's failure to properly communicate orders led to the defeat, not the winter. The Swedish army actually fought pretty damn well all considered. I had an ancestor who died at Poltava, and I get quite tired with how the bravery and accomplishments of the Swedish soldiers at the battle often get swept under the rug

And I was hoping you would mention the Finnish prisoners building St Petersburg. Maybe more about Finland in the future? Hopefully I didn't sound too critical but I have been waiting for this series for a long time and the first episode was great so I wanted that level to stay.
