The thing that always struck me as odd regarding war in East Asia (and Japan in particular) is how quickly fortifications get reduced. What's up with that?

Absolutely amazing writing. I watched it two times already. Really great work. But I hope you'll make it as detailed as you possibly can. The whole story I mean. I love Japan history and particularly this time period. I've read Musashi by Eidzi Josikawa two times, Taiko once and I want to read them both again because of this show.

Martin Ockovsky

Very interesting. I'm definitely in favor of hearing about history that's never taught in schools here.

Is Honda Tadakatsu getting mentioned at some point? He was pretty instrumental in the Tokugawa's survival and eventual rise to power, but he tends to get overlooked since he was just a general instead of a major political figure.

I have extra interest in this series (Civilization V; I always play as Japan, led by Oda Nobunaga)

You did not disappoint. I love it.

Captain Japan

Wooo! Awesome start! So much brilliance at the beginning in warfare is incredible.

Well, this is going to make watching the Sengoke Basara anime more interesting. One thing though, I've always been curious about why Nobunaga is often portrayed as Japan's equivalent of Dracula/Vlad Tepes. Will the next video answer that?
