Interrupted p17-20

Four more pages! no changes to older pages at this point, so I'm just going to link to 1-16 here if you're not caught up (just like i said i wouldn't do in the last post. I am full of whimsy I guess).

I've been really focussed on sketching this, Past Bee did a good job on the thumbs, so I haven't had to stress much and can just focus on the acting. Have you heard drawing being described as acting? In my animation course they taught us about the idea that the animator is 'acting', like a live-action actor, when they are animating a character, and it really helps to think of it that way and like, embody characters. You'll see lots of animators have mirrors on their desks for checking facial expressions in. I have found that the majority of what I learnt in animation is just as useful for comics. This has been your unrequested animation lesson for today!

Such has been my motivation for sketching this comic that I haven't really done much else, I've been super content to sketch til i'm tired and then veg out with some anime (aside from regular life structure stuff like work and life-drawing). It's been good, but I will need to focus on diversifying my activities in the next little while or I'll fully burn out. Anyway, I watched Made In Abyss season 1, which was kinda rad. It oddly reminded me of Dungeon Meshi vibes (which is top-tier), but with the cuteness and darkness turned up a bit more (and it's a bit pervy tbh, which may or may not put you off). It's perhaps more distressing because while in dunmeshi the chars are like, professionals and adults, in Made In Abyss, the chars are kids, and they're in danger. Only four more pages to sketch and I'll be done w the sketch pass! I'm not 100% sure but I think maybe that will be approx the halfway point in terms of comic manufacturing labour. rip.
