Interupted thumbs 1-24

I spent the last few days working on thumbs for this comic (while I wasn't busy having food poisoning). It's come in at 24 pages, and I think it's very cute and good, even though I sacrificed sexy times for some cute epilogue. Feels good to work with a longer arc. Sorry if they're somewhat illegible, that's a solo writer-artist process for you. Some stuff eariler on has changed a little since I thumbed them.

When I first started on these next thumbs, I didn't realise that the whole evening I was gradually feeling more and more food poisoned, so I was confused why the four or five pages I thumbed we so rambling and boring and repetitive (spoilers, it was because I was super nauseous).

After I was a bit recovered the next day, I cut up the thumbs I'd drawn to try to salvage as many of the best panels as I could into some better page layouts. I had to sacrifice some fun panels though, so I have included these cut panels in the 2nd image. They'll probably be bonus material in the pdf version.

Finally I had to show you folks the very first pass at the epilogue that I drew a few weeks ago when I was working out my narrative plans. They're way too loose to clean up into final art, but the energy in them is amazing, and I'm trying as hard as I can to keep that energy into the next passes.

Oh yeah and there's the page where I do a little bit of extra char design notes. I should have done plan views of those sneakers earlier tbh.
