Yu Yu Hakusho - Episode 110

Yu Yu Hakusho - Episode 110

We'll watch them and hopefully upload them next week

Thanks for the recommendation. We're going to watch Hunter x Hunter, but we won't forget Inuyasha

Kaizen

Thanks for explaining! I'm happy he's able to work on HxH in his own pace. Health is the most important thing in the world, especially if he was bed ridden. That's horrible

Kaizen

Yeah exactly. Someone told us he was suffering from a burn out, so I understand completely that the last arc was rushed

Kaizen

I completely agree with you. Honestly, the other arcs made up for the last arc. Yes, it was rushed, but it wasn't bad at all. YYH is so good that we just wanted to have a deeper understanding of the last arc and it's characters. Most of the characters in YYH are extremely likeable and it's hard to choose a couple of them or group them into a top three. It shows that all characters were written very well. Thanks for explaining the Nintendo Switch 2 and the games. I'm very hyped for a couple of games and I hope we'll be able to pre order the Switch.

To put the final stamp on Yu yu hakusho, there's a 4 episode Netflix series. There's also a movie

While it is a shame that the series was rushed towards the finish line, the journey itself was so spectacular that I think this proves to be one of those rare cases in which everyone who loves YYH can acknowledge that without it taking away from what got us here nor the fact that we made it this far. It doesn't hurt that, despite the condensed nature of the final arc, we do still get some of the series' most intense battles; Hiei vs. Mukuro and Yusuke vs. Yomi being two of my personal favorite. Without getting into spoilers, the final couple of episodes do add a lot for some people - maybe not enough to catapult this saga to the top of the list, but to at least leave them feeling much better about how it all wraps up. Going through your favorite characters really highlights just how many outstanding ones there are, and how you really can't go wrong picking any of them; I feel like I could make an argument for any of the ones you guys chose as well as those not mentioned! Hope you win your Switch 2, Alihan! Since it sounds like you two are getting one anyway, just thought I should put your mind at ease (to some extent, anyway), and say that most Nintendo-developed games are likely going to be entirely on the cart. This is the case for the first-party launch titles, but also the expectation for the majority of their output this generation. And thankfully, their games generally don't have massive day-one updates or anything - certainly not ones necessary to enjoy the game. The game key cards are primarily for massive games that exceed the size of the 64GB cart or cheap publishers (like Square Enix, who are putting the 11GB Bravely Default remaster on a game key card to save a few pennies). It's a much better solution than offered for these types of Switch 1 games (like the Metal Gear collection or various Capcom collections), which was to just put nothing on the cartridge, download almost the entire game via a code included in the box, and then be required to leave the cartridge in the system, despite the fact that nothing was even on it! At least this game key card system allows for people to borrow/trade/resell the card... Here's hoping studios improve at optimizing their releases for Switch 2 as the system grows; [Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty] being on the cart in full is pretty encouraging towards that end!

I always thought yuyu Hakusho is better than hunterxhunter. I could never get into it

Yusuke was losing passion similar to Togashi with the series. πŸ˜”

youre a manchild

To answer your question: The creator (Togashi) was suffering from extreme burnout during the ending of the series, affecting his body and mind. There’s a quote from an interview where he said: β€œIt’s not that I’ve lost all emotional attachment to Yu Yu Hakusho, but I feel that my stress levels had greatly surpassed my will to work.” After Yu Yu Hakusho, he went on to create Hunter x Hunter in 1998 (which is honestly one of my all-time faves). He’s still working on it to this day, but he’s had to take multiple hiatuses, sometimes for years because of chronic back pain. At one point, he couldn’t even sit in a chair or use the toilet without intense pain. The man has seriously suffered for his art. Really a legend!

I don't believe the exact condition for Togashi's has ever been said by him but it's known he has chronic back pain issues to the point of being bed ridden and unable to stand or even sit. This issue was made worse early on in his career because he had strict weekly deadlines to hit as a mangaka that would require long sessions writing or drawing even without sleep which is why for HunterxHunter now he takes prolonged hiatuses and doesn't have to work on such a strict schedule anymore. This also doesn't even go into the mental issues, burnout and anxiety as well from all the pressure as well during his early career.

after you finish please consider starting Inuyasha. It is long, but an absolute classic and amazing.

I'd like to see you guys checkout the ovas and special episodes when you are done. They have some interesting context to the series
