It’s not just genetics…. Goku was a super saiyan 24/7 at the time goten was conceived (part of his training to make super saiyan as easy as walking around and breathing)

Could be because Goten was already so strong and also part human so it’s easier for him to access his emotions compared to a full blooded sayian. Or it being in his blood because he was conceived while Goku had SSJ. Hard to say really haha.

All I've gotta say is, of course its a Super Saiyan bargain sale! Remember when SSJ was the monumental achievement that wasn't so light switch attained? Given how they structured the this arc, I guess they didn't want to spend more time on that, yet they had time to spend on all this filler lol. Then again, they've got other new stuff to introduce. Can't get bogged down with every instance.
