Development Trivia: Other Considered Ascension Simulation Projects
Added 2024-07-10 22:50:30 +0000 UTCSince a lot of people liked how I included the Ascension Simulator Projects I am planning to develop on this account’s introductory post, I’ve decided to list out some of the other considered projects that didn’t make the cut.
Note: That some of these project titles were made up to avoid throwing away good titles.
(Rejected) Project Transformative Escape
Short Premise:
-It was a game concept where you played as a female protagonist stuck in an escape room scenario and had to change attributes about yourself to solve puzzles to further your escape.
Content Expectation:
-In addition to gaining access to a lot of transformations to interact with the environment, the spectrum of size and intelligence changes would’ve been immense allowing for more creative opportunities that slowing builds to giving the player divine actions.
Rejection Reasons:
-Expansive escape room puzzle games aren’t really my forte and implementing a top-down game like this would require a lot of new assets or asset flipping, which I feel would hurt the morale of developing a game like this.
Legacy:
-Repurposed the concepts within the ongoing projects, like boosting dungeon design in Project SDS and having a pleasure marathon scenario in Project Clickbait that incorporates this sort of escape room gameplay.
(Rejected) Project Growing Story
Short Premise:
-It was a slice-of-life concept for a giantess game roleplaying game, that took a much slower pace with plenty of civilized drama.
Content Expectation:
-This RPG would’ve taken a much more localized approach of interaction with the world around you, the growing female protagonist, who undergoes external conflict due her abnormal growth.
-Emotional and physical consequences triggered by the player would’ve remained permanent during the playthrough, like an object damaged remaining damaged, or imbuing fear onto a NPC affecting their future actions.
Rejection Reasons:
-I felt this sort of giantess game has generally been done before and with me focusing more toward woman-to-goddess fetishization, rather than just giantess fetishization, this game concept would be contrary to my overarching goal.
Legacy:
-Reincorporated as a story for one of the Project Binary Ascension’s routes.
-The localized aspects being represented in Project SDS, which I feel tackles the concept of human-psychic conflicts much better, than the scenario of human-giant conflicts that this project would’ve carried.
(Rejected) Project Kafka Cosmic
Short Premise:
-It was a sci-fi space mecha game concept set in a world where god is dead and reality is facing a total collapse, forcing a situation where a new god needs to be ascended.
Content Expectation:
-It’s a story focused journey with a lot moral contemplations, as the protagonists experience that life is not fair and power is all that matters.
Rejection Reasons:
-It wasn’t that I had rejected it initially, I just decided to incorporate the story as one of Binary Ascension’s routes, as the two were far too similar in concept and aesthetic to be developed apart.
Legacy:
-Reincorporated as the story for one Project Binary Ascension’s routes and reused the name for what I’m planning to call Project Goddess Playground.
(Rejected) Project Time Travel Mystery
Short Premise:
-It was a game concept where a female childhood friend had suddenly became a goddess whom altered the world drastically, and you had to trace back the steps to discover how this metamorphosis had occurred.
Content Expectation:
-It would’ve been a visual novel experience of unravelling the truth from traveling to different locations at different points of time and interacting with the characters there to discover the secrets and connections.
Rejection Reasons:
-Mystery games don’t play to my strengths, as I kind of look down on stories that feature plot twist after plot twist, beside this felt like a concept better attached as one part of something grander.
Legacy:
-Reincorporated general concept with how Project Goddess Playground plays.
(Rejected) Project Ascension Clicker
Short Premise:
-An incremental cookie-clicker type of game, where sending orgasmic pleasure through sexual thrusts (mouse clicks) would slowly transform a short female 4 foot runt to an omnipresent overwhelming omni-goddess.
Content Expectation:
-The concept had 32 stages of growth, proportionately scaled to impress upon both scenario and game experience, each with an unique sexual position ranging from missionary to being pleasured by the totalitarian disposition of multiple realities giving their all.
Rejection Reasons:
-I felt an incremental game like this would be too easy to make and distribute, given how there is already growth clicker games, and how it goes against my philosophy to not make a growth game for the sake of growth. Besides repeatedly clicking on hardware will inevitably hurt the player and wear the machinery down.
Legacy:
-Repurposed it as a pleasure marathon mode within Project Clickbait.

I’d say these ideas are not bad
