Collecting data on the new thumbnails

So obviously we started with three, but that was just because there were three options. We're never going to do a text-less version, so it's really just these two versions. One, which is the classic, and Two, which is the one with the logo in the top corner and the cover taking the entire background. Anyway, I'd love to know your preference. Feel free to refer to them as old or new or whatever.

While the couch missing in the new one is kind of a bummer, I like seeing the members front and center (maybe even do the poses still). The title being off in the corner isn't a bother for me personally, and I think it looks more like a regular YouTube thumbnail. I like the new one, but I'll be clicking on it regardless though, so take that for what you will.

Nathan Kelleher

I like the classic look

KenBNL

Larger text. It's easier to identify what I'm looking at in a sea of other thumbnails.

Ninja Josh

Left /classic the centered title just hits plus the couch πŸ‘πŸ»

Billy Vidal Ruiz III

Left my man!

David Acevedo

Keep the couch!

David Nelson

I think the logo in the centre looks a lot better on mobile especially

Patrick Mocella

Classic for sure. Really looking forward to this episode!

Drew A. Walker

The left. The couch is iconic!

Jabezcreed

Classic, hands down

Christopher Usler

I have to be honest, while I like experimenting with the design format. At a quick glance I noticed my eyesight is immediately drawn to Sal’s face in the new design while the old design puts the focus squarely on the world β€œWolverine”. Maybe the new design could work well with a more dynamic pose? Or a Halloween episode with costumes? Or artwork like the Simpsons episode Just not feeling it on this one.

Always going to love the old style, but I like the new thumbnails. Only issue I have with it is no couch. I would say either leave the couch in or only do the top half of you guys like how you did the justice league one last time

Ant Testing Ground

the classic thumbnail makes you stand out from a lot of other comicbook channels and gives you more of an idea of what you will get. Number 2 looks more generic and not really eye catching.

BigBusta

The new (right) thumbnail feels like you all are floating unsupported. I think the old (left) thumbnail looks better.

TheWolfJack

I kinda like the old thumbnail.

Justin Oakley

New

Comic junkie

Classic is definitely my preferred. There are a bunch of videos with thumbnails of zoomed-in comic book covers. When I see the couch I immediately know it's Back Issues.

Sofia Trug

left, I think. but I'm crap at marketing so, bear that in mind.

Geoffrey Thorne

I've got really bad vision and often browse YouTube on my phone, so I'd definitely go for the one on the left; much easier to read, esecially at a glance.

Blinky

I personally prefer the left (old version).

Christopher Wolf

I think the new one works better at stimulating like one thing in the user. Like the color of the background lights couldve been influencing ppl subsconsciously or whatever bc (ewww i hate green/magenta/blue etc) So having it be something from the book might trigger just the thought of "OH I LOVE THAT SHIT"

Lex Larsen

The classic, only because it shows the studio, which gives an idea of the setting to someone who is familiar to the show

Rami Darwish

1, you can see the title from a thumbnail size clearly

BatVader

I get why you may want the right, as it may hit algorithm better, but im partial to the left because the colorful background
