What book should be Back Issues 500?

Comments

Maybe some of Bendis' Daredevil or Brubaker's Daredevil. The Devil in Cell Block D would be a fantastic episode.

Nathan Markel

I know that it won't don't well views wise, but I'd love to see Silver Surfer Requiem or Parable, or any of Mark Waid's Fantastic Four preferably (the unthinkable arc into hereafter) but I'm not picky. I will watch and enjoy whatever you put out.

Nathan Markel

Age of Apocalypse

PhsycoRed

unfortunately breaking it into parts would be a failure. at that point just put it out in 1 3.5hr format

PhsycoRed

Secret Wars fits, I concur with the Discord recommendation

Christopher Wolf

Age of Apocalypse, No Man's Land, or what we all really want more Gen 13

Jay Gast

52

Rami Darwish

Doing the early golden age Superman and/or Batman comics would be cool--it would be about as "back" as back issues can get.

Austin Burton

Captain America Streets of Poison. It's the best example of a back issue. Cap high on crystal meth, Red Skull and Kingpin engaging in hand-to-hand combat in an arena, and way to many freaking snakes for a comic to have.

Newton Makes

It’d be awesome to see Miller’s Daredevil run covered. It’s a lot of issues obviously but it’s a brilliant run that see all the essentials of Daredevil be formed

Matthew Wyllie

52 or Secret Wars(2015) would be my picks.

Drew A. Walker

Batman Odyssey!

Jamie Bradley

Or anything with Sub Diego

Jordan Schaefer

Infinite Frontier (not the 50s/60s one)

Jordan Schaefer

I really, really liked the Onslaught Redux episode. And I imagine that the background behind the whole Hobgoblin ordeal could be as interesting as the background behind what lead to Onslaught. I've never read the book, so I don't know if it'll be a case of "Background behind the story is more interesting than the story". If the story also happens to be good? Bonus. Also, I just like the idea that 52 will continue to be the White Whale of the Population. We haven't had that in a while. 52 could be for the 520th episode.

Just Some Guy with a Mustache

Don't be afraid to break 52 into parts! I don't think the population would be upset with multiple recording sessions. 52 is a chungus. - WhatIsItAboutThem

52 pls. Pls don't World War Hulk us with this one 😂

Popeye F

My first reaction says 52, but it would be awesome to see Devil’s Reign

Justin Oakley

52.

Allyn Weimer

Multiversity

NightWing Inc.

Harry Osborn's time as the Green Goblin would be great. There's a trade called Son Of The Goblin which collects all the big story beats of it.

Patrick Mocella

I would like the see the Spider-Man: The HobGoblin Saga (all the big stories about Hobgoblin in one sitting long episode) cause i feel most people don't know the nitty-gritty details. Plus you can always just jokingly refer to the ep whenever the subject gets brought up. My other pick would be Tom King and Greg Smallwoods Human Target book. Such a brilliant book and the art is amazing

Myles_EXVS

52 would be epic!

David Nelson

I was originally gonna say Age of Apocalypse before seeing comments. DK2 redux would be first pick. Then batman no man's land. No then 52, then no man's land. The AoA that's what I can think of at 4:51 am as I'm fixing my morning cuppa

Aaron Cabe

Secret wars 2015 but I liked the no man's land suggestion too. Or a redux. Always love those.

Riv W

DK2 Redux

Vance Cunningham

Huge props. You're doing the Lord's work. For #500, there's a lot to consider; No Man's Land is a landmark Batman story and could be one of those massive episodes. It's one of the only major Bat stories (maybe dark victory?) left. It could easily end up being one of those really long episodes that the algorithm loves to push relentlessly forever (despite having seen every episode multiple times, Hox/Pox and Doomsday Clock get pushed to me constantly, I suspect because of length?) As much as I like the other comments about Secret Wars, Off The Rack did Hickman's secret wars when it was coming out, tho that was 8 years ago. I suspect that's one you're going to hold on to until the movie and then maybe revisit. I know you've said before that you don't want to do Watchmen because you don't have anything new to say about it that hasn't been said, but maybe you're selling yourself short. If you were ever going to do it, a big anniversary number would be apropos.

Ninja Josh

That's so many episodes! Congrats!! I feel like 52 has been this channel's white whale for a while, but if that's not the pick, I'll always push for Aaron's initial Thor run with Gorr haha. Or maybe Spider-Girl? The gang seemed interested in that when you did it on GBU. You also teased the Walking Dead during the Marville episode and that might be an interesting pick I feel like it needs to be something that you either really, really love or really, really hate, depending on which flavor of Back Issues you're looking to use to celebrate 500 episodes. Whatever the pick, I'm very excited to get to celebrate by watching the episode! 😊

Logan Shirley

This would be dope... So many cool side stories

J-$nog

52, but selfishly Spider-Man Grim Hunt

J-$nog

No Man's Land

Lane Hickerson

2015 secret wars. Do it in the style you did spawn and onslaught

Joshua

Squadron Supreme! Subvert expectations!

Joey Fantone

STARTREK/PLANET OF THE APES!! Lol

Billy Vidal Ruiz III

52 would be awesome

Jet Warren

Secret wars by Hickman

Jacob Bradfield

52. It’ll be 5 hours long and I’ll watch every second of it.
