April 2023 Update - Channel Dubs Progress

Manu here with an update on this month’s progress!

I’ve been working with 7 talented voice actors to dub my entire YT catalogue.

I’m doing my own voice (which is over 3 hours of recordings so far). But I was surprised with how many extra people my videos feature!

Just between 4 videos I had to dub 19 people + myself.

I know most people here do not speak Spanish, but part of my mission when I started a YouTube channel was to guarantee my content would be able to help other Hispanic creators (like myself) to tell their own stories through animation and art!

With the upcoming feature of Multi-language tracks coming to YT in the next months I had to prioritize working on this, while my last video is still going strong.

My videos will always be recorded and delivered in English, both for the main channel and this Patreon. So no need to worry about things changing for any of you. 

I'll get this all done before the end of the month.

Next month we'll have 2 new videos in the channel, can't wait to show you what I'm working on! 

One question that may arise..

Will you ever do dubs in other languages?

Answer is: I'm not sure yet. 

I have to study what impact an extra language brings to my channel.

What will happen is people accessing my content from a Spanish-speaking country will automatically get my video, not only dubbed in Spanish, but the Title, the Video Description and eventually the Thumbnail too (not a feature yet, but I'm sure it'll happen) displayed in Spanish.

I'm starting with Spanish since it lines up with my goals and I'm happy to commit to it but this is obviously a great investment in time and effort for every single video. So depending on the Cost/Benefit we would be able to dub to more languages.

Aside from this I'm doing my first consulting gig for an Animation Studio in Los Angeles, teaching them how to animate in Clip Studio Paint (since they only use Toonboom). I have a scary NDA on it so that's all I can say, but when the show comes out (2024) I might be able to tell you more!
