The time jumps are a little confusing at first, but it's all set up for what is to come. At the end, the one riding the dragon is Laenor (Corlys' son) and he's riding his dragon Seasmoke, who kind of looks like a silver Drogon lol You were right about Daemon at the end. He did not want his brother claiming credit for the Stepstones. He basically said "fuck it" and went head first into battle. Crazy, but brave. Also I love that his dragon's nickname is the Blood Wyrm 😂
