So glad youāre watching this! Fun fact, the song that plays at the end of the episode is by Wasia Project (a beautiful musical duo band consisting of Taoās actor and his sister). Their music is gorgeous in general, a couple of their songs have been in the heartstopper OST!

2024-11-04 19:49:27 +0000 UTCThe beauty of this show is they talk about so many things that so many viewers, especially younger, can connect to and it shows healthy ways to communicate about it. The actors do such an amazing job, ugh I love this show. And yeah Olivia Coleman (Nick's mom) couldn't be in season 4 so they brought in his aunt, the whole scene on the beach was supposed to be with his mom but I love how they brought in the aunt, especially making her a psychiatrist.

2024-10-22 15:40:53 +0000 UTCI very much enjoyed this episode even though it was much more of a harder watch than the first episode... a lot of these things are coming more into the light and I know the more we delve the more... (can't spoil) but yeah, it is really nice to watch a show that delves into this kind of thing, I know I have watched many other shows that delve into other things that I think you said would be seen as taboo. I think it's important to talk about this kind of stuff and show it as it is very real and it happens in real life, it's not just something to sweep under the rug and forget about cause it's meaningless and not entertaining... it's important to being awareness to things like this cause maybe it would make someone feel seen, or help them get through something, help them fight it etc. It's also just nice to see the leads be part of the lqbtqia+ community tbh, it's not everyday you see that in a lot of dramas and when you do I just love it cause I think there should be more. I know there's another show called 'Young Royals' which is Swedish and the main 2 characters are part of the lgbtqia+ community, I don't know the sexuality of each, I've only seen the trailer but I'll most likely give it a watch, the actor that plays Nick really likes it I believe... but anyway excited for the next episode to come, nice seeing Taco too hehe š±š®āØš¦

2024-10-22 13:28:14 +0000 UTCI donāt even know what to say, that last part broke me inside, that was so well played, I feel like Nick is putting a lot of responsibility on himself when he doesnāt need to, I love how his aunt is comforting him and telling him thatās itās a lot to put on 16 year old boy, WHICH IS TRUE, I know he cares so deeply and heās scared, he wants to be able to fix all of this for him so he can get better but his aunt is correct, Charlie needs professional helpā¦ bravo through to both Kit and Joe for those scenes, they were really good, like my heart just stops when I watch it. The actor that plays Nick was sat behind the camera just watching Joe who plays Charlie act out that call sceneā¦ I hate how his mother just interrupted whilst he was having a vulnerable moment and she practically just told him off when you could LITERALLY SEE IT ON HIS FACE something was wrongā¦ sheās not very good at being able to tell somethingās not right it seems when itās so obvious for Toriā¦

2024-10-22 12:25:17 +0000 UTCWhen you said āheās just gonna hide away in his room for 3 weeks?ā With concern, I very much related to thatā¦ Iām not sure how to explain it without talking about my own feelings but I feel like heās isolating himself and heās cutting off interaction with people, his headspace is not in a place to interact outside his place of comfort (his bedroom, the place he can be himself, the place he can find quiet and peace, no disruption, a place to think through all the chaotic emotions flying around in his head), the outside may seem like a place of worry, he probably canāt think outside of that because itās too much and limits time with close ones (texting with friends) when his mind is in a rough space. Iāve done that exact same thing and I still do, it can be hard to recharge and do even the smallest of things, even just hanging out with friends or just simply text someone, when I begin to go down a mental health spiral I will start to shut off and stay in my room, itās too much to interact and Iām not in the headspace cause my mind is focused on something else entirely. You can see his only connection is Nick, I think heās letting Nick into his headspace because heās a sense of safety right now and that safety is in another country damnā¦ I soon realised (this is just an interpretation and assumption), Charlie had not been outside for most of the summer break, the one time he goes outside is to collect Nickās GCSE results WEARING NICKāS HOODIEā¦. Charlie brought Nick with him cause Nickās his safety belt, I know thatās just an interpretation but I find that so symbolic. Tori coming in to just sit by him, hug him, then say I love youā¦ that kind of thing can go along way even if it doesnāt look it to the other personā¦ and then thereās Elle and Taoā¦ the juxtaposition lol (I could say more but I donāt want to make a novel out of it, also thatās just my opinion on that thing, I have so many thoughts rushing through my head on that argghhhhhh)

2024-10-22 11:27:29 +0000 UTCHmm I definitely think Charlie, although he is more on the shier side and is anxious in some ways, he has and builds the guts to stand up for himself, even before Nick I think he was able to fight through things. I feel like the worries in himself with the eating disorder (but also admitting it to himself) are starting to take a big toll on him and so heās closing himself off to a lot of people, I donāt know how to explain without looking like an idiot. In my opinion, I think he still feel worthy of being loved by Nick I just think the eating disorder has made him come to this darker place where he feels a lot more insecure cause itās all coming to the surface, heās clearly struggling a lot more than in the past 2 seasons, I donāt know if Iāve said that right!?!?!?!?!

2024-10-22 11:05:22 +0000 UTCSo I donāt know if the conversions are right but this is how it would look just to make it a tad easier for you: āØImogen: -> drama 8 = A* Tara: -> all 9s = A** (we only go up to 9 no 10 and U is the lowest so that would be an automatic fail) Nick: English -> 6 = B Maths -> 5 = in between B and C but itās a strong pass Chemistry -> 6 = B Biology -> 7 = A Physics -> 7 = A French -> 9 = A** Physical Education -> 9 = A** Geography -> 8 = A* Psychology -> 6 = B (I know in America you do it like A+ / A-, that sort of thing, i know many of these are probably gonna be like A- / B+. Also I donāt know how correct I am on these, so take it with a grain of salt, theyāre just from my knowledge off the top of my head, I havenāt used the numeric way in so long)

2024-10-22 11:00:44 +0000 UTCOkay gradesā¦ in the UK we still have A, B, C, D etc, but it was only a few years ago they introduced numeric exam numbers which at first confused the heck out of me when I received my results as I always relate it back to the alphabet way of doing it, I remember for example getting a 7 on an exam, I didnāt know if that was good or bad but thatās an A, this whole system in the UK just annoys me sometimes. But for 6th form (which would be your last to years of high school so junior and senior year) and University we revert back to the alphabet

Ughhhhhhā¦ not a fanā¦ sheās really giving my mother, itās just so frustratingā¦ like you said she keeps creating these assumptions in her head on this and that but she doesnāt take the time to even sit down and take in what he has to sayā¦ like when you watch that scene she keeps cutting Charlie off like he doesnāt really get a chance to say what he has to say cause she refuses to listenā¦ This is so like my mum, itās the āI want and I must have the last word but oh no I said the wrong thing OF COURSE ITāS MY FAULT, everything is my faultā, that kind of attitude really annoys me cause it just tells me that youāre not willing to understand nor care about the other persons feelings, you base everything off of your mind and experience and in return invalidate anyone elseās, I get she canāt see whatās happening with Charlie but at the same time Tori can already tell something is wrong, it just shows the imbalance of support and care in that family and who actually pays any attention. Tori is practically not seen, sheās barely even noticed by her own parents a lot of the time, the only time her mother even speaks to her is when it has something to do with Charlieā¦ but anyway it was nice seeing Charlie nearly open up to Tori, I know he was trying, but I get the the hesitation, heās not alone in that feeling
