Is this my favorite one so far??!! 😮

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

The whole Time Turner thing pissed me off because YOU NEVER SEE IT AGAIN AFTER THIS MOVIE! It could have come in handy so many times and they just act like it doesn't exist.

Rhonda Stewart

That is so true.

I've seen this commented on a video before and it cracked me tf up so i had to share it : "props to fred & george for seeing ron go to sleep every night with a dude called peter pettigrew on the map and not saying anything" 🤣🤣🤣

I still want to know how the Twins found out the phrases to activate the marauder's map and deactivate the marauder's map with the phrases "I solemnly sware that I'm up to no good and Mischief Managed...."

Prisoner of askaban of the Harry Potter movies is my favorite movie bc of how the use time travel! Plus I think this was the Harry Potter movie I saw in theaters as a kid for my birthday that year!

I've ridded the hogwarts ride in harry potter world now at least 3 times.... each time the ride was stopped bc of something... the first time the ride was stopped I was with my family and my sitting next to my dad... my cousins and sister were in the next seat.... we were stopped by the Spider which was spitting water continuously at my cousins and sister who were upside down for a few minutes. The second time was when we were stopped by the dragon head and my sister and cousins were directly in front of it while it blowed steam in their faces continually. And finally the ride was stopped in front of the dementors.

I had forgotten that this chapter was my favorite out of the series. P.S 🎶these are the moments 🎶🤭

Hippo in Latin means horse and Grif is bird so it’s a horse bird Hippogriff

Loving your reactions to these, and I saw all of them in theaters when they came out, they were definitely back when movie premieres were events...I had read all of the books, but not as die hard as those that were kids when it came out, but either way love both, and even though they're good adaptations they had to cut a lot since the books plots are so dense, but they seemed to keep the most important plot points and spirit of the books... The most annoying part of the movies is that they don't explain the Marauders at all, that being Harry's father, James, Sirius, Lupin, & Peter, and the fact that they're the ones that created the Marauders Map in the first place, which is why Lupin randomly knows the words to activate and deactivate the spell...also, the term animagus gets mentioned a couple times, but they never explain what it means or why it's important, the fact that besides Professor McGonagall, the Marauders were all animal uses, except Lupin, but he's the reason the others learned it, they were trying to make their werewolf friend feel better/less of an outsider, that's also why both Sirius & Peter can turn into animals so easily, James could as well, a deer buck, and that's what the names/nicknames on the map meant, Moony = Lupin the werewolf, Wormtail = Peter as a rat, Padfoot = Sirius as the black dog, and Prongs = James as a buck with antlers....they only mention 1 of the nicknames again in the 5th movie, but completely without context, and if you hadn't read the books you have no clue what they're talking about

Great reaction having fun watch this with you and you asking questions is my favorite parts of the reaction 💝

I've always loved the small little difference of Sirius saying that Harry looks like his father while most other people always mention him having his mother's eyes. Kinda same with Lupin, how Lupin mentions Harry being mischievous like his father rather than talking about his mother like most people do. They both still do mention Lily as well though. Shows how true of friends they both were to Harry's parents and how much they care about Harry. They are the closest thing Harry has to family and his parents.

I missed seeing this notification but I'm so excited to watch it. The book is my favorite but the movie falls just a tiny bit short overall for me. When I was a teen I hated how they left things how but as an adult I can appreciate it more for what it is. If that makes sense. 🥰❤️

I love this movie so much. My favourite part was the same as yours - it's my favourite part in the book too. Pettigrew escaping and Sirius Black remaining a fugitive is one of the most frustrating things to happen in the series, I have to admit. One of my favourite genres of fanfic are ones that resolve that little problem. I think this movie, although it still had to make things a little easier or more understandable for the screen, is possible the most accurate adaptations of the books. Especially when you get into the 5th-8th movies, they have to sometimes oversimplify, and sometimes it's at the expense of characters (Ron in the books is more intelligent and heroic than he's portrayed in the movies. Even in this movie, they gave some of Ron's lines to Hermione. In the book, Ron literally stands up on a broken leg to try to put himself between Harry and Sirius, when he thinks Sirius is going to kill Harry.) OH! I thought of something that they didn't really touch on in this movie, but is cool to know about the characters - The reason that Professor Lupin knew how to use the map is because he's one of the ones that created it! Along with Sirius Black, Harry's father, and Peter Pettigrew - that's why both he and Sirius knew that the map never lies. They're Moony (Remus Lupin - moon for werewolf), Padfoot (Sirius - nickname for the pads of a dogs foot), Wormtail (Pettigrew - what a rat's tail looks like), and Prongs (the reason why Harry was convinced it was his dad was because he saw a figure standing behind a stag - his father was an animagus whos animal was a deer, so Prongs is his nickname, named after the antlers). Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, James Potter, and Peter Pettigrew all went to school together - when the other three discovered that Remus was a werewolf, they became animagus, so that they could keep him company on full moons. In the Harry Potter universe, Werewolves will always attack humans, but they're not always a threat to animals, and will just play nicely with them. When Remus was a kid at Hogwarts, he used to go to the Shrieking Shack during the full moon to change and he'd be locked in there - that's why they all knew about that entrance under the tree, and that secret way into the castle. (Remus was bit by a werewolf as a young child, so he's been a werewolf practically his whole life). I loved how immediately you knew that Harry was hearing his mother when he encountered the dementor on the train! In the books, the more times he comes close to a dementor, the more of his parents' final moments he hears.

"Something wicked this way comes" is Shakespeare - Macbeth. Hippogriff (Hippogryph) have nothing to do with hippos, it's a legendary creature with the front half of an eagle and the hind half of a horse. The 'hippo' part comes from Ancient Greek, meaning horse and the 'griff' part comes from Latin meaning griffin (another mythical creature, with the head of an eagle and body of a lion) Hogsmeade is the village near to Hogwarts (where the train station is located), only students 3rd Year and up can visit the village (with parental permission). So Harry might have been the only one in his Year not to go but he wouldn't be the only one still in the school Harry actually always stays at Hogwarts for the Christmas holidays, he never goes 'home' No honey, Madam Rosmerta is the owner of The Three Broomsticks pub in Hogsmeade and is not played by Helena Bonham Carter. She hasn't appeared yet and is definitely NOT playing a professor when she does show up! Professor Trelawney is played by Emma Thompson, who as you mentioned, was in Love Actually with Alan Rickman There's actually a certain knot amongst the roots of the Whomping Willow that if you press it, will immobilise the tree. But for the movie they changed it Snape, Sirius and Remus are all the same generation, and meant to be in their 30s at this time. They all attended Hogwarts together (along with Harry's parents and Pettigrew). There is definitely History here, as you will discover as we go on...

Watching these with you is so fun! I saw all of the movies in the theater except the first one. I honestly can’t remember what I thought when I first saw this one since it’s been 20 years 😅 Seeing the very last movie was definitely an experience though. My fiancé (now husband) and I went to see it on opening night. It was a double feature where they re-showed the previous movie first, since it’s a two-parter. The theater was PACKED and we had the misfortune of sitting on one of the first few rows, but most people were dressed up like the characters and it was a really fun crowd. The reactions were great. It was a perfect way to see the last movie. I don’t know if you’ve seen Sweeney Todd, but Alan Rickman, Peter Pettigrew (can’t remember the actor’s name for the life of me), and Helena Bonham Carter are all in that movie too. I can’t wait for you to get to the next movie. I think you’re really gonna love it. It also has a different director. The difference in directors for the various movies definitely gives them all a slightly different feel. Oh and I can’t believe after all the times I’ve seen this movie, somehow I never noticed that when Lupin jumps in front of Harry in class to save him from the boggart that looks like a dementor, as soon as he’s in front of him, the boggart changes to a full moon. That’s what he’s most afraid of since he’s a werewolf. Seriously, how did I never notice that?! And speaking of that scene, that one girl was most afraid of snakes and the “funny” thing she thought to turn it into was a fucking scary ass clown?! Wtf. I would much prefer the snake.
