Hey all, welcome to this week's progress report.
Level:
In the last couple of weeks, work on the A-Quality blockouts has continued, with more progress being made on Adûn and its architecture. The next location we have started working on is the Warrior Village.
Parallel to these tasks, we have continued full production efforts on Alpha Camp props, and tech art is supporting our level artists to further accelerate the process of building our world map.




Code:
This week, we tweaked our workflow for creating combat moves allowing us to better share them between characters.
In addition to that, we are in the process of removing the old animation and combat systems, as they aren't used anymore.
On the sandbox side, development on creating custom decal materials has been completed, now allowing for more flexibility adding details to your scenes!
In the previous post we showed off a few post process materials that can be added to the global and custom cameras - these effects now each have their own individual options to be customized even further.


Character:
In the character department, we have finished the casual modern outfit and are now helping the level department by sculpting the Warrior Village statues.
Animations:
In the animation department, we finished up the dagger moveset and are currently putting the final touches on the moveset for wrist claws - the favoured weapon of Kerpal's cannibals, which of course can also be used by the player after looting it off them. Both will be handed over to Game Design next week. We also finished the bulk of the animations for the Max x Riv minigame, which will then also be ready for its engine implementation.
We have also implemented more of the new cutscene mocaps. There are 4 main story cutscenes left before we start handling the sidequests and transition into the next phase of adding face and hand motion to the cutscenes.
Design:
The enemy designs are progressing well. We have been working on the design for finisher moves for critical attacks and backstabs, as well as finalizing the Gobbler Moveset, including a new ram attack and area attack. Now, we started working on the Feral Boar and Feral Bull moveset design.
On the UI front, we have completed the inventory screen and item description design.
