Happy start into 2025 everyone!
We hope you had a great holiday time and new year celebrations and arrived in 2025 in good health and company 🙂
Here we are all pumped to get this year going. There is a lot on the horizon and one of the first steps we are taking this year is to map out all the remaining steps left to do to finish the development for Wild Life and make a roadmap for you so you know better what's coming.
As some of our team members are still enjoying some longer vacations and will join us soon, many of us are already busy at work, here is what was done this week:
Level:
With the environment team gradually returning to the office, we resumed work on the various spaceships that arrived at Kerpal and continued the production of interior assets for Alpha Camp. At the same time, we focused on planning and organizing tasks for the year ahead.


Code:
We continued working on the camera post processing options. By default, the game renders as usual, but you can override global options like bloom, vignette, chromatic aberration, tonemapping, filters and many more in the level options. Placed cameras can additionally override these settings with their own when possessed.
Character:
In the character department we have been working on our hair physics research and have found a very promising solution that we will be fleshing out in the coming weeks. Our artist has been busy making an armored-up version of the male fantasy armor sandbox outfit and it's looking really great!

Animations:
In the animation department, we finished the animation set for the big feral bull enemy, so it is now ready to be put into the engine. Next up on the agenda is continuing with movesets for various weapons, the next to tackle are the small and fast ones - knives/daggers and cannibal claws. We are also now going into the final stretch of must-have minigames still needed for story mode and have started blocking out a Max x Riv minigame.
Design:
In the design department we have been mainly focusing on creating a solid plan for the tasks that we are facing this year. This includes quests, dialogues, combat, gameplay mechanics, balancing and more.
