The December member-tier testing build is almost ready!
The time has come to show you an early version of our new combat system we’ve been working on for some time now. While still a work in progress, this update will give you a first glimpse into the direction we’re taking combat in Wild Life and the foundations we’re building for the future. Please keep in mind that this is still rough around the edges and will evolve with every new build release.
Here’s what you can expect in today’s update:
🔹 Core Mechanics in Action
Diverse attack types, including basic clicks, long presses, and combo variations with left and right mouse buttons.
Dodge mechanics with directional movement, target lock, and frontal movement.
Blocking and parrying, with timing-based mechanics to counter enemy attacks.
Combat includes Exhaustion and Stagger mechanics: Dealing damage, blocking, or parrying builds an enemy's exhaustion meter. Once full, the enemy will be exhausted and temporarily vulnerable, allowing for follow-up attacks. Currently, this serves as a placeholder mechanic, but in the future, we plan to add finisher moves to make these moments even more rewarding!
🔹 Weapons and Enemy Types
Current weapon types include Spear and Mace, with unique movesets for each. In the future, we’re planning to add Swords, Daggers, Hammers, and more, each with its own playstyle and variations.
Enemies currently include the Blackwing, Arac, Feral Lion, Raptor, and Humans with Spear or Mace weapons or unarmed combat, with around 20 more enemy types planned!
🔹 Work in Progress Features
This reveal is all about showing you the direction we’re heading in, and there’s still much more to come. Features currently in development include:
Special moves for players.
Expanded weapon categories and movesets.
New status effects, such as Poison, Fire, and Electric Shock (which currently only have a placeholder implementation).
Visual effects, audio responses, and gore system for more immersive combat.
Player progression systems, including leveling, items, and upgrades.
🔹 Why Reveal Now?
We’re sharing this early version to give you a sense of the combat system’s potential and invite your feedback. The current balancing is set to let you experience the feel of combat, with more tuning and refinement to come as we gather input from the community.
Your engagement and feedback will play a vital role in shaping this system into something truly amazing. So, dive in, experiment with the new mechanics, and let us know your thoughts!

• Game settings that require a restart will now prompt you accordingly
• Converted open world landscape to use Nanite
• Updated cliff meshes, colors and materials
• Reworked lighting
• Updated Alpha Camp meshes
• Finalized Umbar blockout B
• Updated Warrior Village buildings
• Sandbox editor: UI Text tooltips should work correctly now and not change the actual text when edited
• Sandbox editor: Resolved Kylee's skin not being customizable
• Sandbox editor: Resolved color picker closing when clicking it
• Sandbox editor: Sex minigames in sandbox mode will now attempt to put the characters into the correctly named character slot if possible
• Sandbox editor: Resolved materials named 'None' breaking scenes
• Sandbox editor: Rotating/Scaling multiple props at once while auto-keying is enabled should now work correctly
• Sandbox editor: Animation auto tangents now update correctly when pasting keyframes
• Sandbox editor: Speech bubble text offset no longer resets after loading/duplicating
• Various improvements to dialogues
• Various improvements to quests
• Various improvements to characters
• Various improvements to animations
• Various improvements to levels
Known Issues:
• Nav mesh generation is very slow for performance reasons, so NPCs can get stuck in the middle of their path, but will continue once the nav mesh is generated
• Setting animation speed and amplitude to zero causes sex toys to disappear
• Clothes textures will not fully load in the character creator
• Physics break if you scale characters in the sandbox editor
• Rendering issue on moving characters - most noticeable on hair and clothing

2024-12-11 15:40:35 +0000 UTCist das immer so langsam der download im launcher liegt bei durchschnittlich 50 kb/s bei 11 gb brauche ich so 2 bis 3 tage für den download was läuft da falsch dabei wollte ich mir alle älteren versionen herunterladen da es in der aktuellsten keine sexpose spielbar ist ebenso ist mir erst nach 4 downloads gelungen das spiel überhaupt zu starten besch. germanya auf steam kommt man auch nur auf fehlermeldungen bitte danke

2024-12-07 02:07:49 +0000 UTCOkay so right away with the combat; damn in a good way. This is really going to make fighting be one where you have to think somewhat and react. I'm already looking forward to this part of the game, picking a fav weapon and fighting these enemies. Like the crafting, story-lore, ect, this really shows WL is more than just sex scenes, it'll be a real rpg and bulding (IN general) just about anything in sandbox, making this game very different from the rest of the the adult games that just only have sex and nothing else. As for the custom partical system, I hope there's a tutorial on how that works.
