2025-02-26 03:18:47 +0000 UTCbut you also have to instal the software, sound fonts, and so on ... Buuuuuuut , drop me a message, incould use some help with onstaling this on a proffieboard :) and if we csn make a cheaper one, why not :D ill design a custom chasis for it :)

2025-02-25 09:21:09 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say that it feels expensive as much as the price is outrageous. You could get a proffie board v3.9 for $25-30 on AliExpress. 1m neopixel is $15 on adafruit or 1m ws2812b for around $2 on AliExpress. You can get a 2pack of 18650s for about $10. Momentary buttons, speaker, and type c ports are all pretty cheap. At the cheapest end of the spectrum this could be done for around $50 plus shipping. Sure, you'd have to solder everything but that ain't worth it the $85 difference.

2025-02-23 12:46:44 +0000 UTCI'd love if you explore more ways to implement such kit on more ideas of you! It kicks ass!

2025-02-23 12:46:28 +0000 UTCyeah the kit feels expensive, but i was also looking at aliexpress that is the chepast and boards alone are like 50-60 $, i will still try to source some cheaper ones, but i do not think we will go that much cheaper to be honest

2025-02-23 09:20:32 +0000 UTCI was just looking at the bambu bundled hardware set -- for all of the internals for a sound/light/motion saber, that price doesn't seem unreasonable. I'm sure the individual components can be sourced separately for less, but that seems comparable to other all-in-one kits on the market.

2025-02-23 06:00:39 +0000 UTCAll good ;) I respect BambuLab for there huge impact in the 3D-Printing space, but some "practices" (stealing, copying from for example Prusa) still leave a very bad taste in my mouth. Datasecurity overall seems a little shady. So i simply dont want to support or give any data to them.

2025-02-22 08:13:18 +0000 UTCAwesome design. I share the "gasp" about the 125€ sound & light kit. It is astonishing for pro cosplayers, but a nogo when printing those for kids within family.
