FREE MODEL AND A MERRY CHRISTMAS :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :) 

I made this one yesterday morning, but I wanted to keep it to surprise you today with my version. The Marvel RIvals armored Moonknight's dart :)

I know, i know, this one was made by others allready and the reason for that is bcs there is a game data model available out there, so it was very easy to take the game data and convert it into something 3d printable. I did go the extra mile tho and created a version that needs no painting , a stand, and 3 options for easy 3d printing 

For that reason , since its game data and the model already existed i am offering this one for free and turning it into a lesson on how game data works and the difference between 3d print topology and game 3d model topology. 

Just a heads up - I'm sure you will see lots of models that are identical to this one  - you can be sure its just the same game data model. 

What's the difference ? Well the game data topology uses very "bad" , low polygon shapes and/or triangles and photos to create an illusion of a detailed and sharp model - that helps keep the model size low and allows the render engine in the game to work more nicely. however if we want to print that we would have a bad time as every bad shape polygon/triangle would be visible on our print.

3d print topology - well every detail has to be sculpted in, and created in a way it's a nice and smooth surface, as every surface line will be captured by the 3d printed

so long story short:
 - low poly + photos = good for games/animation but bad for 3d printers
- high poly topology - the photos = good for 3d printers, but bad for games/animation
