Open source Rangefinder schematics and code

Dear Patreon members, as promised i have created the schematics and the code for the rangefinder movement.

Its also an introduction to an open source coding portion of my (soon to be ) web page, where i'll try not to provide only 3d printable models, but would love to include a wider audience such as tech savvy peple and coders to share open source code/schematics to acompany our prop, cosplay and mini's builds :)

Yes static props are cool, moveable props are cool, but lets try to step it up a bit :D

The reason why i have made it open source is so every mysterymakers member arround the world can play with it, create their own custom one , and in the end will be able to share it on the web page and get full credit for their creation :) In time i will also be making some open source models to once again have you play with it and create custom stuff of your own.

I do ask for a bit more patience, im trying to get it all done asap, along with the new file sharing system, and new projects, so its taking a bit :)

To begin this coding adventure i have create a rangefinder movement code to share with you.

I used arduino uno, but it is recomended to use arudino nano for its size, but the setup is pretty much identical :)

And ofcourse you need the arduino IDE to upload the code to your arudino motherboard
https://www.arduino.cc/en/software

The way it works ( there's a video in the folder as well)  :

- theres a 5 second delay when you press the button, and the rangefinder will move up, and vice versa

- in the code you can change the delay time from 5 seconds to whatever you wish it to be , or remove the delay

- i used a power bank as my "power source"

This is the first one so im looking forward to your feedback, and i hope to improve all of it by the time the web page is ready

And im jumping back in to making new 3d model that i plan to release by the end of the month :D

For now i'll share it in the foldre here, but once my web page is done, it will all be in one place

Howdy! I've been working on the PVPrints version of the rangefinder code, and just got the all-clear from Vic to make it public: https://github.com/PVPrints/rangefinder Figure all y'all would be interested in it; totally free/open-source. Code handles the servo (as well as the various LEDs on the viewscreen should one choose to wire those up). We're also working on adding support for the "flashlight" mode seen in BoBF ep1 (partially implemented code-wise; I still need to patch it into the main event loop).

Awesome that save me a task when I get round to it. I've got an arduino set up for the HIM gun just need to find time to add the sound.
