State of the Skeleton: Bedsheet Studios Work Surprisingly Well

Hi everyone!

The last month has been a blur. A leak of outside water in our bedroom spun out into an ongoing saga of staying the night in hotels, getting Derek stronger meds for allergy + asthma, back-and-forth with insurance, and searching for new apartments. My time has mostly been devoted to that while Derek worked on the Castlevania video as best as he could. Part of it had to be recorded in a hotel, but honestly you can hardly tell. Bed sheet studio for the win!

We have at least two videos planned for the rest of this year including Castlevania Game.Com! Our bedroom still isn't usable and gives off a strong odor, but we have been making do by sleeping in our living room. We've been able to keep more water out of the bedroom after the second rainfall, but Derek's doctors are recommending we find a new place to go. We'll see how that goes!

Hilariously, Derek was about to record the final VO and I was going to set up for liveshots this morning, but then the vendor showed up to start cutting out the wall to remove the ruined studs and fix the leak in our apartment.

The noise is loud enough that we likely won't be able to finish the video today. So Derek will be resting and I will be writing/finding more apartments to tour. Stay safe y'all and hopefully talk soon!
