Nina, my cat

Yesterday was one of the worst days in my life.

My cat's name is Nina, she is a very strong cat!

On Friday night, she started crying very loudly when she was trying to relieve herself, I looked for a vet but I couldn't find one. Her personal vet was out of town and would be back on Monday.

So on Saturday I was looking for a safe place to take her. On Sunday morning I found a vet, they told me that Nina had a fecaloma (something like a fecal bolus) so they had to give her an enema, after this, they sent me to another vet on Sunday afternoon to do an ultrasound and find out the reason for not being able to defecate properly.

I did all his studies and they told me that he was fine, I just had to buy a remedy called "Lactulon/Lactulose" and that should be enough.

During the day on Monday, Nina did not improve, which made me sick, and I started to cry, as she is very important to me and my family. The previous vets wanted to operate on her intestine which cost about 300 usd in Argentina. I really didn't have that kind of money, I thought about selling my graphic tablet, computer and cell phone to cover the expense, it was then when her personal vet contacted me that she was back.

I took her to the emergency room and checked her out, Nina had a tooth-sized calcification right in her urethra, so she couldn't relieve herself due to the pain. After sedating her properly, he removed the stone, did an ultrasound and saw that Nina had grit and was prone to create stones and also had a urinary tract infection.

Her vet took everything out, now Nina is feeling better, she is able to relieve herself without any problems and she is on a diet!

Everything before Monday cost me too much, both in money and in my mental health, I had not eaten, I was anxious and I felt like crying, but today I am fine, today Nina is fine!
