I LOVED the first season so I did not understand them not renewing it 😢 I still rewatch it often because Emily Bader is FABULOUS in it! I loved her in this movie too! She’s so beautiful! Mmmm & don’t get me started on Tommy boy 😍🫠

2026-01-10 19:09:12 +0000 UTCyeah we realized while watching this that we really did not remember many specific details at all lol 😩 then I was reading a Reddit thread of all the changes and realized how much was missed, which is of course always going to happen but they definitely should've done a limited series instead. still enjoyed it so much but probably more as a standalone film than as an adaption of a great book!

Also criminal to take the “I’m not a vacation, I’m someone who’s loved you for a decade” speech out. I feel like we didn’t get the glimpses of the insecurity from poppy til the end or the true longing from Alex until they’d reconciled the first time. And those two personality traits do a lot of heavy lifting in the book.
