I was visiting home in Alabama; My pentecostal preacher father sat and watched the opening with me and well, let’s just say it was a very spicy sex scene that looked like it was shot on a home video camera from the 80’s. I wanted to crawl into the couch and cease to exist. 🤣🤣 I immediately turned the movie off and was like, this is not what I thought it was hahahaha TBH he probably would’ve hated the real version too and it’s funny now, but younger me was in shambles internally. Lol

It’s an Australian film. I first saw Toni in "Velvet Goldmine" and made it a point to watch every single one of her films back in the early 2000s.. even "Shaft". lol

No matter what film she appears in, I always hear, “You’re terrible, Muriel,” in my head. My boy Max ripped that letter up and tossed its pieces to the wind like Sonny Malone in “Xanadu”. Is it just me or does Max and Omi have the same energy as Luke and Helga from “The Witches”? The animated flashback was incredibly well done! At one point, I genuinely thought Santa Claus was going to roll up with the reindeer and do a Krampus drive-by. Not the “St. Elsewhere” snow globe ending!
