Obsessed with this movie now, which is fun because I wasn't excited about the original film, but this one really worked for me. Found out Haunting of Hill House's Mike Flanagan hosted The First Omen's director Arkasha in a making-of discussion about filmmaking - available on YouTube. "DIRECTORS COMMENTARY with Arkasha Stevenson of THE FIRST OMEN" - starts a little over halfway through for The First Omen specifically and there isn't a ton, but I like that she talks about how her movie's world smells; it reminds me of your initial reaction to the autumn vibe of the opening shot that creates that comfort-watch ambiance.
