2024-11-12 02:16:48 +0000 UTCJack Nicholson is creepy in this movie. 😳 I've also thought that Jack Nicholson to be very crazy scary. 😨 I'm sure he's a good guy but his acting is so dynamic. 🧨 Danny Lloyd is such a cute little actor. 🚚 Shelley Duvall is superb at this role.💄

2024-01-03 06:16:18 +0000 UTCOh I have always loved this film and have 3 DVDs of it and the old vhs tape as well. From the opening shot you are being pursued, as if by a large invisible bird. I have already commented on your you tube edit, so I'll try to be brief here. On one of the DVDs there is a making of the film which Vivian Kubrick made, Stanley's daughter. It's a very interesting piece and I urge you to seek it out. It shows Shelley Duvall in distress, while joking about it, she's such a trooper. At one point she runs her hand thru her hair and shows Kubrick that her hair is falling out from stress. Kubrick totally pooh poohs her, taking the time to humiliate her further. It's only like 30 minutes long and on the copy I had you have the option of Vivian Kubricks commentary being on or off. Very interesting document. 1:00:52 has always terrified me. At this time Danny has entered into the room where Jack was supposedly sleeping. Cut to Jack on the bed with a mirror showing the 2 separate Jacks! The one in the mirror has jeans strewn on a chair completing his form. Please check every mirror scene, and there are a lot of them. The bard himself is quoted in this film at 50:32. Tony quotes Lady MacBeth about the deaths being "like pictures in a book" Am so glad you chose this film. Happy New Year
