2024-04-17 02:16:41 +0000 UTCPretty great reaction was looking forward to this! It’s a really good season finale. Some things to note. Finn’s thorn was present in the episode he got his arm back. (It’s okay if you don’t remember the animators tend to not draw it on since it’s kinda embedded in his palm lol) It represents his arm being pure grass now, just disguised to look human. It can grow when needed and responds to Finn’s emotions and desires just like the sword. It only stays in its grass form to plug up the hole in Finn’s space suit and reverts back when he’s safe on earth. Gunther is always Orgalorg just compressed into the shape of a penguin due to earth’s gravity. His open door philosophy is the reason why he rarely gets up to his shenanigans. He believes the universe has this plan for him and everything that happens is the universe’s doing so he’ll always be there just waiting for the stars to align to get his perfect opportunity which is why he stays with Ice King, but there’s also a part of their relationship where they’ve both grown fond of one another as you can see in some episodes. Martin is dead. The end. Okay not really but he’s transcended his existence and doesn’t really exist anymore. He’s cosmic essence now or something. Just not apart of this reality anymore. It’s always in his character for things to work out for him despite not deserving it. Makes you wonder if he’d still have this luck if he was a different person. Farewell deadbeat dad, good luck in the higher plane And finally Finn’s cosmic importance. Being able to appeal to greater forces is because he is a catalyst comet, he’s done it before quite a bit actually and it’s never been explained why he has such a deep connection till now. What wasn’t stated but heavily implied is that the Lich was also a comet as well. In the episode with Evergreen the comet that hits earth has distinct Lich horns coming off it and was described as yearning for destruction and this episode further cements it. Really interesting that Finn and the Lich have this in common. The Lich has existed since presumably time began and Finn in a way has been around for a long time as well through his past lives.

2024-04-17 00:43:52 +0000 UTCSo about the thorn question, the flower was from the grass sword. And when it bloomed in breezy Finn regrew his arm. But it wasn’t actually is arm, it was the grass sword in place of his arm. Thats why he had the thorn, it was a remnant of the grass sword. And also remember Finn’s curse was supposed to last eternity no matter what
