EU Postal Update

So I am continuing to have items returned from Finland, and the odd one from other countries in the EU when using Royal Mail. I am all setup to use DHL now, apart from waiting for postal bags to come from them.

In the last week or so, I have been appointed a very pro-active account manager at the Royal Mail which has been welcome. He has taken a big interest in the EU issues I have had, and the good news is I have been submitting all my post into the EU correctly and VAT has been paid etc. The bad news is that they have found a technical glitch in their system that has resulted in postal information not being sent to the respective postal system in the countries mail is being sent to. They have offered compensation. Apparently this glitch, as a result of my findings, has gone to the very high echelons of the Royal Mail management. A bit rubbish I know.

So I am waiting for DHL bags, and I am waiting for a Royal Mail fix. At the moment I am sitting on quite a lot of mail I need to send to the EU - it is likley that they will go with DHL (just waiting for the bags). I am off to Wales until Friday morning - so will send out all these items then. DHL should be a lot quicker in terms of delivery than Royal Mail.
