End of Book 13 - Ask Me Anything
Added 2026-01-13 16:10:01 +0000 UTCSometimes, I forget that the vast majority of you don't really participate in my Discord server, where I'm pretty active and respond to questions pretty frequently. I don't really read very many of the comments here, so I don't get the chance to respond. However, I figured it would be beneficial to make a post where you all can ask me whatever questions you have in mind. I'll do my best to respond to all of them (assuming they come over the next day or so). If it turns out that people enjoy this kind of thing, I'll try to do one of these after each book finishes.

There's a wiki in the works, though it's completely fan-driven, so I'm not sure how long it'll be until it's up. I'll announce it when it happens, though.

2026-01-15 05:28:56 +0000 UTCLoving the series so much! My only question is to ask if there is somewhere I can check the definitions of Elijah’s spells and transformations? After so many books I’m starting to lose track of what spells are supposed to do and in which form? Can I suggest putting them in an reference at the end of each book?

2026-01-15 00:46:22 +0000 UTC1. As I said in a previous comment, the original story was a lot more slice-of-life. Think a hobbit in his garden type of vibe. I ended up combining it with a different story concept with cultivation and dragons, which sent us down this road. 2. I'd always wanted to write a system apocalypse story. Originally, that was what Mistrunner was going to be (if you've read it, the original concept would have focused on Mira's uncle during the apocalypse rather than being set 100 years later). So, I knew the combination of Druid and apocalypse would be fun to write. I also wanted to explore some of the base concepts of the genre (like grinding, plot armor, etc.). Path of Dragons let me do that. I also take pride in the fact that I spend time with each location, to the point where they feel a little more realistic than most settings in the genre. I'm not quite up to Robert Jordan skill level, but I'm working on it.

2026-01-14 23:05:00 +0000 UTCSecond questions - this time about the story and writing process What was the original idea for PoD ? Like, the first, unpolished, raw idea that set the foundations for the entire story ? Secondly, once you had the basics ideas down, the basic outline and world building, what was the idea that made you tilt your head and think “uh. That would do a great story, actually.” What made the story worth to tell ? Those two questions are entirely based on my own writing process, where I first have one idea, then a few others that complement it and build upon it, then finally the spark that makes it special. If you don’t have the same process and don’t know how to answer my question, basically, what am I asking is “what made you want to write Path of Dragons ?” besides how fun/cool it would be, of course. And thanks a lot for writing it! Not the first time I say it, but I think the characters are wonderfully written and developed (especially complex characters like Sadie, Benni and Isaiah) and I love that you take your time fleshing out the universe! World building is always my favourite of any story, and I find it sad that most litRPG authors don’t focus on it.
