Quality needs time.

In her own way, also Maria is a sensitive person, capable of tuning in with specific situations, feeling the vibes of a given location, connecting with the buildings.
And the walls of the abandoned Asylum had plenty of stories to broadcast.

I hope in the following days I can work on this shooting seriously, but today I'm going to Milan with my wife, not to shoot with a model this time, but just to get back the watch of my Brother, that has been repaired by the Swiss brand that build it in 1960.
This is the watch I have photographer on the wrist of Paulinepastel on October 2024 (the first picture of her I showed you here on Patreon), well over 1 year ago, the same day I left it to the authorized dealer in Piazza Duomo to have it repaired.
Apparently JLC is a Swiss manufacturer that takes all the time needed to make a good job, and it was anticipated that I had to wait for one whole year to restore the watch and get it back.
Now it is finally ready and I'm going to pick it up.
I guess I will show it to you again, probably on the wrist of another models at the first occasion, presumably in Spring of 2026.

After all this watch has been in my Family since 1960, and it is now my responsibility to take care of it until I will pass it down to the future generations of the Bramley family.
But since last year it has also become a part of this Community, by participating in the #BramleyApple Project as a prop on the wrist of Paulinepastel.
Also this watch must have many stories to tell, if you know how to listen but, unlike the sad Ex Manicomio di Monbello that is falling to pieces, the JLC has been lovingly preserved for 65 years and now restored to its former glory during the past year.
It has been a long wait to get it back, but who am I to speak about time?
The Swiss watchmakers are the experts about time, and if they say they need 1 year to do a good job, that must be exactly what it takes!

At least now I feel less guilty for how much time it takes me to work on my pictures: I guess if you want to do things really well, you can't speed up the process.
