Dottir is one of the very few models that actually opened the water in the shower for me.
Also Martina did it, during a very hot day in Milano.
I confess this does add a further level of authenticity and intimacy, but the risk is moisture for my precious photo gear!
Speaking about gear, also my second attempt to buy the Contax-Zeiss Planar T* 85mm f1.4, this time from a German seller, has been a failure.
This example was in worst condition than the Italian one, because the original lens shade was missing from the box, the aperture blades were stained with oil, and the focusing ring was grinding getting near to infinity mark.
It has been a great disappointment, now my next step should have been looking at Japanese sellers, but that could turn out to be much more expensive.
At this point, I might even consider a used example of the more recent version, still on sale to this day, the Zeiss Planar t* 1.4/85 zf.2 for Nikon mount.
This newer lens offers sturdy modern construction, same optics but further improved, better shaped and more numerous aperture blades, and at least 30 years less wear and tear.
I will have to think about it, whilst taking time to recover from this second disappointment.
Finding the right example of this lens is proving harder than expected, and luck has not been on my side so far, but I'm still determined to search for the best possible option.
And, when I finally get it, I will have to be careful not to get it splashed with water from my beautiful models showering!
