One of the reasons I avoid shooting in bathrooms is for the ugly color cast the surfaces appear to provide, inevitably.
I'm not sure bathroom colors are going to improve with the new Fujifilm GFX camera, they surely improved with the flashlight on the Nikon D810 (I'm thinking about Paulinepastel's shooting), but not significantly.
I believe it is down to harsh reflections from the glossy and hard surfaces in this room.
It must be the same effects these surfaces have on sounds, making the bouncing of voices so unmistakably unpleasant.
Anyway, apart from the color cats, the beauty of Hilary is still shining through well enough!
Another technological progress I gave up to enjoy the experience of shooting with the Leica SL2-S, was the image stabilization that was better implemented on the Panasonic Lumix S1, where I was allowed to dial in any focal length.
Some of these photos in the dim lighted bathroom may suffer from a slight motion blur, from shutter speeds between 1/125 and 1/160, that can be easily handled by a modern IBIS system.
Using the new GFX is going to open up to me the pleasures of using stabilization once again, and solving the problem of motion blur, unless it comes from the model herself...
2 more photos of Hilary C. from this same bathroom later today on my regular social media feed and on DA Subscriptions.
