Finally put my hands on the GFX 50S II, but I still remembered I had to make a post for my Patrons!
First impressions on the camera are positive, but I have to study every function before the next shooting.
First lens I tried on it, the Nikon 85mm f2 AI-s, is the lens I used for this portrait of Martina.
With the new camera and on the larger sensor, this lens is going to show a larger frame but, in the first photos shot at f2, I can't see any vignetting, so we might be very lucky and don't need to crop at all, at least with this lens.
Whilst zooming in to focus with the GFX is not as easy as with the Leica SL2-S: magnification has to be turned off with a specific button before recomposing and pressing the shutter, whilst on the Leica it is sufficient to press the shutter half way to turn off magnification (actually, I already solved this one, because I was on S focus mode, turning to M focus the selector, the shutter button behaves exactly like the Leica one!!!)
Also I can't get the focus peaking to show, which is strange...
Fortunately I have a lot of time to experiment, because I will need it!
I hope the GFX can render the mole on Martina's right nipple as nicely as it looks in this photo.
