The only important bit you missed in the subtitles was with the sword master/smith. He didn't want to sell/give her a sword, out of moral reasons, but after he found out it was to get revenge on Bill, he made her a new sword, just for her, his finest sword ever. Breaking a vow that he would never make "instruments of death" ever again.
