Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.
I come today with a lot of news, some good, some bad, some so-so, etc.
But more importantly, I will need your opinion on something.
I will be as brief as I can, but the renovation is taking a lot longer than expected. Mostly because the professionals we hired cannot read a plan and we had to start a lot of things back to zero ourselves. Which obviously sucks because it takes time and money for nothing, but hey at least I learned how to rewire an entire kitchen and got some good basics in plumbery along the way. Yay.
I will not be able to come back for November, and with everything we still have to do to make things work for our family for December's holidays... Well it seems that my computer isn't going to leave its cardboard box before 2022. The best I can do at the moment are some sketches (like the one you can see above) on my iPad, which isn't the most thrilling workstation for me but at least it keeps me from going nuts over not-drawing.
Our morale is still 'good' since we are doing good progress on our house, and everyday I feel more motivated for the day I'll be able to get back in my room and work. But days go by, and along with this constant motivation comes a great frustration... it is pretty disheartening to be unable to properly get back to business for such a long period of time. (Especially when I see other artists move in a week or two. How even ?) Plus, it really feels like I spent all of 2021 begging people to be patient, only to be less and less able to fulfill my objectives...
Which is why I am once again in need of your input :
Should I keep pausing this page month after month (for an undetermined amount of time) and leave it open with nothing new on it ? Or, should I close it completely until I can properly resume things ?
I would love to know what you guys think, because it is something I've been thinking about a lot these past days and I can't seem to decide. I don't want people to subscribe to this page only to be disappointed (or worse, feel 'scammed' after finding nothing new) but closing my page -albeit temporarily- would also be absolutely heart-breaking for me... So yeah sorry about all this; I miss art, I miss you guys, but Murphy's Law still reigns supreme this year (at least for me).
I won't give up though. Some day, I'll be back with some funky and brightly colored pin-ups, only to make your heart euphorically flutter, I just don't know when... So until next time, have a very spooky Halloween, have fun and take care of yourselves !
