Added 2023-09-23 15:00:01 +0000 UTCIn the Painting Journey Part 2 you could see how color became important to my expression and how the figure was beginning to break free from the forest.
In these paintings, the figure begins to explore a more expansive landscape. In the last one shown on this post, the figure almost becomes the empty space - part of the air. You can still see the same forest influence, especially in the rhythmic forest piece with purple tones.
I find that as I get closer to my current work in painting, I have less analysis about it and it's more difficult to put into words. I find that with more space and distance in time, more becomes clear.
