I always thought that it must be cold, also, whenever Superman flies people around, but now I have in my head the thing they said in the Brandon Routh movie, "Superman Returns" that he is very warm. Lois said something about it that she keeps forgetting how warm he is, probably because of the Man of Steel title, but he IS a big solar battery, so I just have it now in my head canon that he gives off heat enough to keep people he carries warm. Sorta like one of those pocket warmers, but really big.😁 Also, Metropolis had always been (to my knowledge) a Midwestern large city, which I always equated it with Chicago, like Hector mentioned. Many times they did put it in Kansas so that Smallville isn't that far away (an hour or two) which never bothered me and made sense, but Zack Snyder was the first case I saw where they put it on the East Coast, next to Gotham. I didn't particularly like that change. It feels like it was only changed to give motivation to Bruce Wayne in "Batman v. Superman." It also made it feel even more like an Elseworlds story than it already did. I wasn't that big a fan of the Snyder-verse because it was pitched as the main DC universe, but felt like another Earth or Elseworlds, like I said, and as those designations, I can get behind those movies wholeheartedly. But, not when they pitch it as the main universe. I have more confidence in James Gunn getting Superman, especially, correct.
