I thought I never saw this movie, during the watchalong I remembered that I did watched and loved it. I love those fatherly philosophical, wise and also "some truth are simple" (ROP)-moments. Stallone is the best. Epic movie and I agree, it should have been nominated and won an Oscar. Don't we all fight our little inner and outer battles through life?

Re: Stalone = Rocky more than other roles is probably largely due, not just bc of the heart of character/stories, but bc Stalone wrote the character when he was down and struggling. He IS Rocky. Rocky IS Stalone. It carries through.

What an amazing movie and I definitely agree that it should have been nominated for Oscars at the time. That score is amazing and really hits, sometimes even more than in Black Panther.
