A cool point is that during the original Dark Phoenix comic room the team consisted of Colossus and Nightcrawler instead of Rogue, Gambit, and Beast. So when Dark Phoenix turned the tree gold, it was Colossus that was trapped underneath: it was cool that they swapped that out with Rogue since both were the tanks of their respective teams.
