why cyclops doesnt know his family and vice versa: chris (his dad) hasnt seen him since he was 12; scott suffered a head injury and a lot of trauma since then. he has lead a long life full of adventure. he has reconciled with his family being gone forever. he hasnt thought about them in 20 years. alex was adopted by a family and scott wasnt so they havent seen each other since they were about 12. add that all up with a dash of "no one said their full government names" and it all makes sense.
