2022-06-03 15:59:48 +0000 UTCSo all of arcane is painted. The backgrounds are mostly 2d hand painted paintings. and then the assets used for the animation is all hand painted. There is NO CG other then occasionally large crowds. The rest is all manually animated

2022-03-28 20:37:14 +0000 UTCI love watching this again, alongside you guys. I detect a lot of great neat details in the animation, I was to wrapt up in the story, to see them the first time around. I have no connection with the game, what so ever, but this is now one of my most favored animation shows, ever. I so look forward to season 2 :) The only little complaint I have is,... well why only once per weak??? π« The release shedule was three episodes per week (there are three story chapters with each 3 episodes). How about releasing Chapter two and three each in one week (for example Monday, Wednesday, Friday). This will get you pretty nicely to the start of Moonknight π

2022-03-26 08:21:04 +0000 UTCWhen I watched it, it blew my mind the level of detail that goes into every character. All of them have backstories, motives, emotions. Arcane seems to have been made with love. This is far greater than the game it's based on, which barely has any story.

While it doesn't go into everything, it does go over the history of how things lead to where they were with enough nuggets of information about the overall state of things to give a much better understanding of how it got to that point. There are other videos out there that have dealt with more specific areas of interest, but that video I linked gives a solid framework. One of the most important parts to take away, is that the lore of the game was not really there on inception but was developed over time and adjusted as they changed things.
