Yes you read that right, it's my first homebrew class! I decided to come back from my break with a bang. This class has been literal months in the making (special thanks to Clockwork Dragon for helping me out with balancing), but I'm finally in a place where I'm happy to release it.
The lycanthrope is a creature who can transform into a beastlike monster that posesses superhuman strength and animalistic powers. It works similarly to the barbarian class in some ways, except your transformations are quite different to a rage: while they still allow you to enter a state that grants you bonuses to your damage rolls and other rolls that use Strength, your transformations also change how you use your armour class and weapons, and give you other abilities such as improved senses and speed. The class also grants more out of combat features, such as the ability to better track and ambush creatures, and to speak with animals.
Right now, this class comes with two subclasses: the curse of the bat and the curse of the wolf. While this post showcases one of them, the curse of the wolf is only available on my patron dropbox, so if you're pledged to me you can go over there and check it out. If you're not pledged to me, I would really appreciate the support, especially considering the difficult circumstances. If you can't support me financially, however, simply viewing and sharing my content helps me more than you likely realise.
On a more serious note, I'm sorry for the lack of content lately. I was struggling to find time to write since I was writing my final year dissertation for University (submitted now!) and trying to adjust to all the craziness that's happening in the world right now. On that note, I hope all of you are keeping safe and staying healthy, and I hope you're managing to find ways to play D&D with your friends. Remember, there are plenty of ways to play online and always plenty of groups looking for players. D&D is a great source of escapism, and I think that's something everybody needs right now. Love you guys!
