After Holi shower

Hi guys!

I have been working on March goodie bag print for the past few days and I wanted to share some of it with you 🙌✨ I have started with a ton of thumbnails to figure out the composition. The main vibe I wanted to go for was a wholesome full of joy together-shower of the gang without sexual vibe.

 While working on the first sheet of the thumbnails I figured out that to achieve this vibe I will have to find a way to position all of the characters in a way that would make them more or less equally visible. I'll need them facing each other - ideally through body language but leaning with the face would work too. I wanted them smiling and if in a full body shot - not looking over each other's bodies. This would ensure that the whole atmosphere would remain innocent and friendly.

I really enjoyed three first thumbnails in a second row, but keeping in mind that Patrick has a full on beard - the angle would cause most of his face to be obscured, and I didn't want that.

Second one in the third row would place the characters in a tub, but I had a hard time figuring out how to make everyone interact with one another in a natural yet playful way. 

 Second page is mostly filled with different iterations of the same idea that in the end turned out too me too upfront and boring - perspective wise. I decided on moving along with the last sketch on this page, featuring more bent perspective.

 This page was fully dedicated to tweaking the composition of the last thumbnail - bending the perspective, deciding on what the interactions will be and playing around the design of Jean who would be the main focal point of the drawing. Since I myself like to read notes of other artists about their designs, I thought I's put some of my thought process on the page itself~

 The final drawing came out really sweet~ I love the interaction between Filip and Jean. Their shared energy through eye contact and mirroring expressions makes the picture playful exactly what I wanted~ Everyone is touched by at least one person, their focus stays on each other's eyes in the friendliest of ways which was exactly my goal 💪 I am yet to decide if I'll be coloring this piece or not. Would you want to see it colored? 😏

The size of the goodie bag print is pretty small (postcard size) so I'm thinking of cropping this piece before printing it out. This is how it would look like after cropping:
