(WIP) Laser Team & smart gun thumbnailing
Added 2024-07-16 22:53:15 +0000 UTCRygo antimateriel unit. Wanted to convey both a sense of prototype crudeness in the weapon- XM, not M- while retaining the usual slick Rygo weapon design. Lots of exposed cables and more heft than is usual for Rygolic arms. The long tank and hose is inspired by a laser carbine from Twilight 2000- although I wanted to avoid having it look so much like a water gun:
The weapon lacks sights; those are part of the construct's head now. It's got a stock and a bipod, but these are strictly for stabilization. He's got very steady hands. The power source is some sort of powerful battery slung on his back.
Not related: some of the thumbnailing for the Rygo smart gun (the Drift Cage). That took a moment to come together with the help of a talented friend. My first impulse had been to surround the moving barrel with a cage entirely; that later evolved into the parallel manipulator drum in the final design.

2024-07-28 21:15:31 +0000 UTCI figure the Rygo equipment names like "Drift Cage" and "Snake Green" come from a system like the British "Rainbow Code" system of random naming but maybe whatever's left of the Mind has its own sense of meaning
