Absolutely love this movie-used to have it on DVD, there's some really interesting behind the scenes on the real programs that this is based on. Haven't watched it in forever, can't wait to see your reaction!

Getting the birthday/month special allowed me a movie and I really wanted "Count of Monte Cristo" or maybe "Stranger than Fiction" but both are about 2 hours. I considered 2 episodes of something (perhaps two different pilots - Reaper, Keen Eddie, The Good Guys were considered, as well as the next 2 eps of Party Down and one of Life), but I could stretch that over 2 months if I really wanted while you can't stretch a movie to 2 months, so I didn't want to miss the opportunity. It came down to "Stretch", "Ravenous" , and "Men Who Stare At Goats", all of which were within the time frame required. The first 2 are under-the-radar gems, I think, but I haven't seen either in a while and I worried they were better in my memory than in reality so I went with the safer pick. I really enjoy the story of this movie, it's interesting and fun... it's a bit Coen-esque, especially with how George Clooney is used in addition to obviously Jeff Bridges who is essentially reprising his role as The Dude.
