musings on nude portraiture
Added 2023-01-07 15:01:16 +0000 UTCnude portraiture (which sees the body as an art-form, and strips it of habitual societal hypersexualization) has been key in reconnecting with the sacred essence of my body. the body: our abode for this life. celebrating and bowing to this complex vessel in all its forms. in all it’s bliss and grief and messiness and paradoxical perfection.
this art form has been and continues to be one of the most healing rituals for my relationship with my body/ sexuality. i consistently get this feedback from others, as well. i especially would love to photograph more: older people + pregnancy phases this year. death too, but I’m aware that’s a stretch in our current culture. i want to unhide all of the ‘taboo’. it’s all so beautiful. anyway, if any of the above resonates, do reach out. let’s create! thank you 🕊️🌕
