(The first two single render teasers are from the upcoming Beta 6, the rest of the collage teasers are from E14.)
My apologies for being silent recently, I posted links for Beta 5 in the previous post's comments. That beta goes up to the start of the upcoming Jasmine scene but is missing a large chunk from the end of the Daliah scene.
Beta 6 will be a total of three scenes. The remainder of Daliah, Jamine's date, and the flight home.
It will be close to 400 renders and 8 animations and will be out very soon.
This month has been spent remaking most of what is in this update.
I'm going to talk about the Daliah scene a little bit, it's a little spoilery but nothing specific.
I have a love-hate relationship with this scene, I love it for what it is and what it means for things moving forward but I hate how it felt like I couldn't stick the landing with it.
I've really struggled with how far I should go with it, what to share now, what not to share now, the settings, the lighting, the dialogue, just everything about this scene I've ran into issues with.
And remaking it in chunks over time really fed into those issues, it made it difficult to piece it all together, it led to continuity issues, and all sorts of other small things that killed my confidence about it.
I don't know if it was just writer's block, some other mental block, but I have felt stuck on this scene forever.
I've reached a point where I'm finally happy with it, I'm not sure how it will land but it's got to land somewhere.
I also just want to quickly say that while this scene matters a lot for everything moving forward, this isn't some big turning point in the game.
There's no magic, no chosen one story, nothing like that.
The Jasmine date also got a lot of attention from me this month, it's an emotional scene and we learn a lot more about Jasmine's backstory.
I did remake some of this scene but most of the work was adding to it.
I'm working on the final touches for this update right now, mostly just playtesting.
It will be out shortly.
I don't want to dive into the specifics of E14 yet, but I will have a much easier time getting all of that content out. If you want a better idea of what content will be in E14, all of the teasers should clue you in on most of it.
The plan is to release scene-by-scene. These releases will be way more often than what the recent ones have been.
Everything will be so much easier once the rest of this Daliah scene is out. It's honestly been 95% of the problem.
Once again, I love the scene it's just been a battle getting it to where I needed it to be.
And I want to apologize again for the silence this month. I was in my own head over things and I didn't want to say anything official until I was certain about it but at the very least I should have at least told you guys that.
That's all I have to share for right now.

People have a right to be upset when they have paid any where up to a year with very little in return. Hell even the creator knows that, that's why he apologize so much. I find it really funny that you say people are incorrect, yet the creator himself is agreeing with the upset people. But it's OK the world needs leaders and followers so keep on being a good little follower and I am sure you can live a somewhat happy life living off others dreams. 😀

I have seen the update releases this last year in jdub's posting shows. And considering again. Many posts have been presented saying NO updates where released since 2023. I see no further need to comment or respond about this matter. It is beating a dead horse. There is far too much judgment and attitude over this that is based in assumptions.

Communication, it's just to bad he acts like the people on Discord are more important then the others giving him money that are not on Discord. If he is having issues that's fine(I don't know the first thing about what he does.) but tell all of us that. But when he always uses excuses outside of creating it paints him in a bad light. For me it's like he is trying to gain sympathy before he let's us down. I would rather he just say and maybe lightly try to explain the issues he is running into. If he needs a few days because he is feeling down or depressed just say something like "It's been rough on me the last few days so I am going to take a few days off to clear my mind and reset." I mean no offense but if it's something outside of creating that is causing him the anguish we don't need to know what it is, it's not any of our business unless the supporter/s is close to him or maybe have a hand in creating so they personally reach out to each other.

2024-12-29 03:58:45 +0000 UTCThis is what he said on Discord. A bit of both but way more on the technical side, the only renders / dialogue I've touched is due to long wait times for compiling tests. So just work on minor annoyances I have until things are working. Nothing major or anything that would cause further delays. Firstly I was running into tons of script issues, anytime I tried to launch with ren'py I would get an error attached to random labels in the script that I couldn't find anything wrong with. I'd change random things and eventually it would jump to a different random label. I tried other versions of ren'py, tried updating everything, used my other computer, used fresh files and every step forward was met with two steps back. I've known file size has been a problem and has been the solution for some of these random issues in the past (Which is why the file size has dropped a few times in the past) so I compressed some older content, ran into a lot of issues trying to compress older animations. After many attempts, I finally got it to where it wouldn't crash on launch but any build I made would have chunks missing. Similar to the problem in the last build having missing animations in earlier scenes. This is when the migraine happened that took me out for a while. I also took most of Christmas day off to spend with close family. There were also some other things going on that I don't want to get into. I've since made good progress. Found some actual errors in the script and fixed the compression issues I've been having. I'm still figuring out the missing chunks issue but I've made progress on it as well and I don't think it will be much longer until I have them all figured out. I also assume I'll run into some issues with the android build afterward but I'll have the PC/Mac version out asap and android will follow right behind. I'm beyond frustrated and annoyed with everything, every positive step I've taken has been met with more issues. The game needs to be split into two versions to reset the file size but I don't want to try to do that with this update and delay things further. I'm doing all I can to have this out by new years so I can start 2025 without this same old scene looming over me. I've been up all night working on it, I'm going to walk the dog and then sleep for a bit before getting back to work on it. I will keep you guys updated. I'm sorry it's not out yet.

I can't say he is lying(it seems that way) but I don't have enough facts and information to say that out right. Just like I can't blindly be loyal to him because I do like and enjoy what he has done. However I can be upset because whether he has been honest or not, his communication has been terrible, his delivery times have been terrible, and he has made many empty promises, that surprise when he final does communicate he had something "extra" going on. That seems like to much of a coincidence considering how often his promises have fallen through that these "extra" things always sync up with his failures to produce. When he comes with that EVERYTIME seems like he is only saying it to get sympathy, like butter us up before he lets us down again. It makes me feel like we are being cheated.

2024-12-27 01:57:07 +0000 UTCIf you look at the history as you say, he promised to deliver EP13 early to mid December last year, he then split it in parts and released betas with parts of that update, we still don’t have the full update he promised a year ago. So he hasn’t released 5 full updates this year, just parts of an update we were promised a year ago. Not to mention he promised to pause pledges for the rest of the year if he failed to deliver on one of his release dates (don’t remember which, he missed so many this year) and then went back on his word and unpaused them right after. In any job if you’re expected to deliver something and take a year just to deliver part of it you’ll get fired. And I’m not claiming he is lazy not even assuming his excuses are lies, things happen and I get that but this is his job not a hobby, if he can’t handle this and his personal life then he should pause pledges and figure out his life first.

Despite all of the "Crying Wolf" as some one stated, WVM still managed to release 5 updates between the end of 2023 and December 2024. The claims WVM is lazy and not preforming are clearly unfounded. I stand in support of WVM as well as all other AVN developers when it comes to dealing with daily and real life issues. Some issues sound off but when production is not delayed as long as some "Think" they where then assumptions are fubar. To Assume... Is to make an Ass out of You and Me.

A break to take care of personal issues is fine, and I’m sure almost everyone here would be ok with it if it was a short break, but this is a yearlong break. A little rest and recoop will freshen the mind and loosen up your creativity so you can cover all the corners and hit the hoops all nothing but net in the future. Great game! Fun and semi-relaxing. When it should be that is! I am lookin forward to more of the fun. Specially after seeing some of the images for upcoming updates. Including the ones I REALLY wanna see happen. Just add a few more options to player choices. There have been a few times where my experiences called for something other than the choices provided. They where in older releases early on but I expect the pattern is normalized even in later version updates. I have found this to be similar in other games I have played. Not sure about what newer Ren'Py versions offer for tools to setup such choice selections. But I expect to learn now that I can get legit newer full updates. It is a great game for fans of harem lifestyles. Makes the fantasy run strong in me! LOL..

I've never had a headache like this before, don't even think I've had a migraine before but most of the pain has been right behind my eye(s) and ended up spreading to my neck / back. Things just slowly kept getting worse but I'm hoping the meds will get me right quickly. Headache has been so bad that I haven't been able to sleep much at all so I'm going to try and rest as much as I can tonight and as soon as I'm up I will do everything I can to fix things and have it out for you guys. No specific times but it will be very soon. Thank you guys." Do what you will with that information.

Beta 6 will be north of 500 renders and 10 animations. It includes the rest of the Daliah scene + the rest of E13. And I'm very sorry things have taken so long, both the Daliah and Jasmine scene are important for things moving forward and I've been stuck on them forever. (Mostly the Daliah scene) I know the process has sucked and that's obviously on me. I truly believe the end result is a much better update than it would have been but again, I can't get stuck like this again. It's fine to take the time needed to make what you want to make, but the way I've handled it has been an absolute dumpster fire. My intention has never been to disrespect all of you the way I have with missing dates and needing to remake things but reality is reality. I can't take any of it back even though I wish I could. I'm excited for you guys to see everything and I'm excited to finally put it past me. I'm going to rest for a few hours, then I'll be up and working on releasing as soon as I possibly can. Thank you guys for everything. (Also, this update will be released to everyone right away including former patrons via the discord if you'd wish to cancel your pledge, you will still get all of the content promised to you. All of E14 will also be given to all former patrons. There will likely be tiered releases for E14 but they will be sped up, likely 2-3 hours between tiers) (I will also give a handful of updates past E14 to former patrons but they will follow the normal tier release.)
