“Tell me how I already know this episode’s gonna be amazing,” “‘You are too mignonne for that’. I’ll take that as a compliment,” (‘mignonne’ is just French for ‘cute’. Think filet mignon-just the feminine form of the adjective. And yeah, the principal does certainly speak quite a bit of French) “I’m wondering-what is the extent of his knowledge and meddling abilities?” “Just pretend you have 9 children,” “Très bien indeed,” (pronounced ‘Trehzz bee-en’. Goodwin. I cannot emphasize this enough. I laughed for 2 minutes straight. I fell OFF OF MY BED. That was one of the funniest things I have heard you say on this channel in recent times. The principal, Japanese accent and all, had a better accent. This was a joyous and truly hilarious moment) “I actually owe this principal an apology. He’s ‘trehzz bee-en’.” (AND AGAIN LMAO) “Really big growth is almost always going to be accompanied by some kind of big pain,” “Ultimate strategy: not caring,” “You can stop with that hand gesture while talkin’ about ‘blowin’ it’,” “Of course the guys are into it,” “I mean, Ishigami’s faced much worse things than balloons,”

Same, its by far the best ship in the series imo

Can I suggest Teasing Master Takagi after you're done with Season 3? It also has 3 seasons and a Movie. Though the movie hasn't gone outside Japan yet.

The Ishigami and Miko ship will always have my heart 🥺

I don’t know why but I love seeing Hayasaka nerd out about new smartphones, her hopping up and down in excitement is so cute. Those little characterizations and details in this series that have so much continuity is one of the big reasons why I’m emotionally attached to all the main characters bar Chika. These are the cell phones they had when the cell phone chapter was released in the manga. This is very random but hey if anyone is interested here you go: Kaguya has a Sony Xperia XZ2 Shirogane has a Sony Xperia Z Ultra Ishigami has a Blackberry Priv, I think Fujiwara has either an iPhone 6, 6s, 7, or 8 Iino has an iPhone 5 or 5c. Kaguya's old phone appears to be based off the Kyocera KX16

Season 3 has a lot of payoff that seasons 1 & 2 somewhat lacked. There is more of the anime still to come, but it makes great strides in progressing the main narrative

Keep in mind Kaguya's routine! It'll be a recurring thing we see in the show.

This show nails humour for me better than any other show I have ever seen, anime or not anime, other than Community. It's pure comedic genius. But I do still see a decent amount of critique when it comes to different parts of the show, a popular one being the narrator which makes no sense to me. I could totally be wrong but you don’t seem to enjoy the narrator very often. Usually, 3rd person narrators are used as a cop-out for the writer to shove in endless information or to slowly explain jokes, but that isn’t the case in Kaguya-Sama at all. This narrator acts like a sports commentator, an over the top booming voice that compliments the high octane war of love with perfection. He also adds tons of meta jokes and meta perspectives by reacting to events in the show or reviewing the battle results at the end of chapters, it creates a bond between us, the audience, and the narrator himself. You would think an outsider looking in on this series would offer a breath of reality into the mix, but of course his opinions on love are just as insane as our main characters. As to anyone who would say the jokes are repetitive, this series is constantly adapting its original premise. This sequel season proves it, they maintain the same basic setup and yet the writers/animators keep finding new ways to make the show hilarious and addicting to watch. One of the other popular criticisms of Kaguya-Sama is that, “There is no romantic progression”, but there is a ton! The entire series circulates around the dynamic between Kaguya and Miyuki progressing at a snail’s pace, that is literally the entire point of the show. At the beginning of this show, Kaguya and Miyuki have many normal social things that they can’t do such as sharing personal information, physical contact, casual conversation, etc. But as you watch more episodes they both begin to start crossing these social lines and the romantic pressure becomes more indicative of a pair of lovers coming closer together. Compared to real life romances, the interactions they have with each other are incredibly subtle, but because of the context of the show and its direction, they become larger than life. Making the first move in love is always a difficult thing, I think everyone can relate to the fundamental concept of this series on a personal level unless you are just a total king of confidence. This series captures the essence of what it feels like to be right on the line of youth and maturity.

Rewatching has made me realize how fitting the cellphone pciture arc is for the Season 2 finale. It’s not as climactic or romantic as Season 1’s fireworks arc, but it highlights how much this season has been about the Student Council as a whole, how they support each other, and how their relationships with one another have grown. Season 2 got me to jump into the manga because of how wonderful the cast is and I can’t wait for you meet the new additions coming very soon!

Season 3 hype! Love your commentary, keep it up!

also if you're watching the OVA please brace yourself for the first half of it...nobody warned me

I got really emotional watching this episode. It really motivated me to get more involved with student activities again on my college campus, since it was the student council scenes that made me realize how much i missed having a close-knit group of friends all working on something together like i did in high school with all my clubs.

Can't wait for season 3, especially on the high note that season 2 left off on

We have finally come to the end of Season Two of Kaguya. When I first fell in love with this series I watched it coincidentally right after Season Two finished airing, so I watched both seasons quite quickly and then rewatched those two seasons many times, it then becoming one of my all time favourite shows. For me there was enough in these first two seasons alone to cement it as one of the all time great animes and the greatest RomCom anime of all time. I cannot give higher praise. For a lot more people who aren’t me, Season Three of Kaguya is what solidified it as the best RomCom ever made and one of the best anime of all time, even at the time of making this comment Season Three is still at a 9.15 on MAL making it the no. 1 ranked anime of all time on the website, overtaking Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for 2 full weeks and counting. Cannot wait for more reactions to this show although I don’t want them to ever end…

benj

The OVA is amazing and canon to the manga. Its also hilarious and made to the same level of quality standard as the seasonal episodes.

benj

I can’t believe we’re already at the end of s2. Are you planning on watching and reacting to the OVA and season 3 promo? The first half of OVA is a little…
