It's not made explicitly clear, but the fireworks arc had a significant impact in that she has now fallen even harder for Miyuki. Love, especially this being her first love, is the one thing that her genius mind cannot fully comprehend. Hence why for Season 2, the subtitle: "The Geniuses' War of Love and Brains" has been crossed out.

(The Tale of Princess Kaguya) She is of course the basis for Kaguya Shinomiya’s character. As mentioned in S2E2, Princess Kaguya was a celestial being, who was eventually taken back up to the moon, leaving her suitor behind. Kaguya Shinomiya’s family background and upbringing reflects the distant otherworldly royal origins of Princess Kaguya.

I already knew what was gonna happen but it still impacted me way harder than it did when I read it in the manga, what an ending to the season. I cannot wait for you to get there but I also never want you to stop reacting to Kaguya on this channel so... Kaguya rewatch announcement when?

Not sure why some manga/anime translations don’t explicitly state it cause it’s pretty big, but the physical manga (aka the official english translation) says it. The version I originally watched said it outright also.
