I knew you would love the journey of mob growing more confident and gaining wisdom and friends. It’s just such a feel good anime really to me. But with complex emotional themes as well. Thank you so much for this series I’ve enjoyed it so much.

2022-04-29 23:41:19 +0000 UTCFun fact: we've seen Mob use the energy sharing/stealing power before. When he fought Teru at ???% he was sucking up his power, and then at the end of the season he lent his power to Reigen.

2022-04-28 03:54:17 +0000 UTCThere is actually a ton of continuity and character specific reasons behind the powers. We did actually see Mob use the energy sucking power before way back against Teru. I think the fact that he can drain/share energy is related to how Mob is constantly being influenced by the people around him and in return, he affects others (cause his powers are related to his emotions). I know someone mentioned before how Teru tends to use powers he's seen before cause he's just that good. And Ritsu doesn't have a lot of super powerful moves, but he's the most resourceful and always uses his environment to fight. pretty epic

2022-04-28 03:47:26 +0000 UTCi feel like mob's demeanor towards evil man(i will never remember his name lol) is tied to the mogami episode. Mogami's lesson about circumstances and the people in your life affecting you was effective on mob but maybe not in the way Mogami expected. Mob sees how evil man treats orange hair and that really upsets him because a huge part of mob's identity is being a positive influence on people. I think that's why they briefly brought back mogami for this finale to give mob more advice. That's my take on it

MHA and MP100 are definitely the two biggest examples of that, and both times I ended up being really grateful that I watched them. I totally forgot, but will Mob be getting replaced by a poll or by your personal choice of a series in the vein of Fruits Basket? Just wondering.

Like, yeah man you’re right. And since you’re clearly lacking empathy/camaraderie/basic respect for others, it seems like Mob’s the only one around here who’d qualify as that “absolute being” that can be the protagonist lol

In a different shot earlier in the series, when Reigan was kneeling down to little Mob, he was level with him, looking him in the eye. What makes it even more significant is that the boss and Serizawa were both grown adults, and Serizawa could be just as tall if he stood up. Reigan was far taller than little Mob, yet he chose to kneel down.
