2021-09-17 04:08:58 +0000 UTCNot gonna lie, a little further into this arc was the first time I had to stop reading the Manga weekly, coz I was expecting something terrible to happen, like, every chapter and it was stressing me out. I waited until the arc was finished so I could binge-read it and wouldn't have to deal with the uncertainty anymore. So yeah, I get it. But I also think this arc (combined with the next one) is one of, if not the best arc imo (not quite sure yet, coz I'm currently taking a break with the Manga for the second time, so I'm not completly caught up right now).

He disagreed with All Might, but he still values All Might's opinion and thus is curious (but harsh) towards Deku. That's my take at least for now

2021-09-16 06:46:45 +0000 UTCBit late to this one, but I absolutely think Nighteye is taking Deku on because he wants to see his true potential. He's not wrong when he says that Deku is currently not ready or as qualified as others. Even though he seems to say he accepted Deku because he wants to see him fail, I'm guessing if anything he wants to push Deku. He personally doesn't believe Deku is qualified yet, but he seems at least somewhat open to being proven wrong. That's why he accepted him to begin with. If he didn't feel that way, he would've just turned him away.

2021-09-16 03:11:15 +0000 UTCI love how they show the audience that Beak Guy can kill with a single touch, but none of the heroes know that yet. So Deku running into him at the end of the episode immediately raises the stakes in a very smart way. Depending on how things goes, Deku will not back down when a child is in trouble and the other guy could kill him in an instant. He is currently my favorite villain.

I think they're trying to convey the fact that the world is in reality more tense because the world has lost it's symbol and crime is already starting to increase back to where it was before All Might. Like Nighteye said himself the world doesn't need a dim light but a dazzling one.

He's such a stern character and really adds a different dynamic to the heros and this season. Love him overall. He's the voice of reason in a world of heros who have unrealistic goals. At least from my perspective it's almost like a tough love thing like with Aizawa
